Smeg's vacuum drawers deliver an outstanding 99.9% seal.The vacuum drawer can also prepare food ready for delicate sous vide cooking when combined with the Smeg steam oven, allowing you to achieve results that are impossible through traditional cooking methods. For discerning chefs, there is a special chef function which infuses and marinates the flavours of the food, for truly delicious results.There are 3 levels of vacuum so you can preserve anything from soft cheeses to meats and 3 levels of sealing great for sealing open packets of crisps or multiple bags in one seal. A large quantity of food conservation and sous vide cooking bags are included as standard with your vacuum drawer however additional bags and containers can be purchased separately.The vacuum drawer can be fitted directly beneath a 45cm height compact steam oven or blast chiller.
